Philadelphia adventure

First I want to extend a very very grateful thank you to Mhari, Craig and Ethan for being so hospitable to us. It was so nice to have a home base to return to and regroup. A couple days into the trip Joachim began to ask to go back to his house, but he soon adjusted to our new normal and with the exception of one uncommonly cranky morning he did really well as we shlepped him from one visit to another.
The night before we left it snowed 6 inches so we were surprised to wake up at 4:00am to snow. Ironically, by the time we got to the airport the roads were completely dry. Such is Colorado, snow on this side of the road and not the other. The snow helped me appreciate the beautiful PA weather we had all week. It was like seasonally going back in time a month and a half (we were lucky to miss the many, many cold rainy days that preceded our visit).

We had a long travel day and Joachim was a great companion but he didn't nap all day... until we were at the rental car office. He literally laid down and quietly fell asleep right there on the floor while we were signing papers
Osage Ave., Philadelphia.
It was a personal indulgence of mine to try a different coffee shop everyday of our visit. I loved the being around people and watching people and eating tasty pastries.
