dresses continued

Here they are- not on a moving subject
I know the buttons are not centered, it was a bit challenging to cut the back and put them on in hindsight, it's not really noticeable when she's wearing it.
Here Joachim is modeling a child's baby sling I made real quick this morning for a 2 year old's B-day in addition to the doll stroller we got her. In a few months she'll be a big sister and I thought she would like to "wear" her babies like her mama. I'd seen these in Mothering magazine often and I was pleased to pull one together in about 15 minutes plus two 59cent rings from our local variety store. In a stash a friend gave me, I found two strips of the perfect gauzy fabric already hemmed and selvaged at the right width. Corey, I have no idea what they were, but they worked perfectly for this, I almost wanted to keep it for Anna, but I guess I'll just make her another one if she's ever a big sister.
Joachim was a good sport as I tried it on him several times in the process, but he wasn't too into the baby wearing until I got out the camera and then he nestled the baby in comfortably and officially demonstrated the proper way to "wear" a baby.

so impressive, christi!! i can't manage to sew anything that's not pretty much straight lines. anna is lucky to have such a talented mama who can bring her ideas to life!
